“HD Flexo is a major development similar to that of the CDI systems in the early 2000s. Whereas it was believed that a point of no-return had been reached in terms of the quality of CDIs, we can see today that this was untrue. With the arrival of high definition, flexo printing made a new step forward which enables it today to qualitatively rival with offset-label-printing”, comments Didier Guenu, Managing Director at Graphilabel. Thanks to EskoArtwork’s screening technology, Graphilabel has been able to develop a specific raster depending on the printing machine and anilox used. This has resulted in reaching optimal printing quality that responds to the technical specificities of each customer.

According to Didier Guenu, HD Flexo fits in as a logical development in the process towards improved quality. He believes HD Flexo should not only allow flexo printers to consolidate traditional markets, but also gain market share from offset. “HD Flexo should experience a similar evolution to that witnessed by the CDI devices, that finally became a standard in the field of labels after a period of observation and reservations linked to its higher cost”, he recalls.
Graphilabel has a global approach oriented towards new technologies likely to create new services and to generate loyalty among its customer base. To this purpose, Graphilabel also just invested in the latest EskoArtwork Studio software solution.
