Maximize Plate Quality, Minimize Waste
Established more than 40 years ago, Flexocolor today produces around 50,000 packages each year for customers across the folding carton, corrugated, labels and flexible sectors. The company uses the full range of printing techniques, including flexography, offset and gravure.
Already using a comprehensive ecosystem of Esko prepress software, the company initially installed the Esko XPS Crystal exposure unit because of the superior quality plates it produced with its dual front and back UV LED arrays. As the company looks to move to 100% UV LED exposure, as part of its own sustainability agenda, the company has added a second XPS Crystal to its facility in Limoges, France.
Discover how the combination of the XPS Crystal and Esko ecosystem has helped Flexocolor improve efficiency and collaboration while meeting its sustainability objectives.
The XPS Crystal utilizes UV main and back exposure to produce highly consistent digital flexo plates, while also minimizing waste. Esko has received multiple GreenCircle certifications for the XPS Crystal!
