Esko to Showcase Latest Innovative Software and Hardware at Graphispag

Visitors attending this year’s Graphispag event will discover the latest Esko innovations that are helping brands and packaging converters to automate, connect and accelerate the go-to-market of goods.

From new cloud technology and advanced estimate software though to groundbreaking platemaking and inline inspection hardware, Esko will use the Barcelona event to showcase developments that address pain points pf producing more, faster and of optimum quality.

“Our new Esko S2 platform is a major evolution in software architecture,” explained Jan De Roeck, Esko Director of Marketing, Industry Relations & Strategy. “S2 is a multi-tenant cloud-native platform that delivers on a new technological reality based on cloud computing, data sharing, and artificial intelligence. All strategic Esko applications – from ArtPro+, ArtiosCAD, and the award-winning Phoenix through to Cape Pack and Automation Engine – connect to the new platform, giving all stakeholders in the value chain 24/7 real-time access to live data and identical resources, wherever in the world they reside. Moreover, Esko S2 is an open platform supporting connectivity with partners.”

From booth #E35 of Barcelona’s Gran Via, Esko will demonstrate how the S2 platform delivers next-generation connected cloud-based operations that enable brands and their supply chains to achieve new levels of go-to-market speed and efficiency. “Current customers can seamlessly integrate their Esko on-premise applications with the S2 platform, for a new way of working which represents a quantum leap in connected integrated workflows,” added Jan.

Held from 1-3 October 2024, Graphispag attracts businesses from across the entire graphic industry ecosystem to discuss and address trends that drive demand. As well as introducing visitors to its newest software platform, Esko will be discussing its latest hardware innovations – the AVT varnish inspection module and new CDI Crystal XPS ‘Quartz Edition’ flexo solution.

“The AVT print inspection module is truly groundbreaking, enabling labels converters to inspect and detect defects in varnish coatings during a live label print run,” said Jan. “As an add-on to the Helios system, the Varnish Inspection Module enables viewing and inspection of varnish and coating on various printed substrates simultaneously with print inspection. This unique and patented module detects issues such as varnish misregister, partial and full starvation simultaneously with the existing print defect detection, enabling labels converters to achieve maximum output while reducing waste in their print production process.”

With these latest innovations in flexo quality, inspection and our integrated ecosystem we are empowering businesses to significantly shift gears in workflow automation, harnessing cloud technology and AI to further accelerate speed-to-market with vital integrated color accuracy and consistency as part of the automated process.

Esko’s commitment to quality is further reflected in the new CDI Crystal XPS ‘Quartz Edition’, adding a top-of-the-line edition to the successful family of CDI Crystal XPS plate imaging and exposing solutions.

“The Quartz Edition combines the upgraded optics of the CDI Crystal with optimized Crystal Screens, introducing 2000 lpi surface structures (Q-Cells), providing another major leap forward in flexo plate imaging speed and print quality,” said Jan. “This latest innovation is truly the pinnacle of flexo platemaking. It combines the upgraded optics of the CDI Crystal with optimized Crystal Screening software, optimizing final print quality and offering a genuine alternative to gravure.”

The new CDI Crystal XPS Quartz Edition is targeted at flexo tradeshops, alongside label and flexible packaging converters, to deliver market-leading flexo print quality. Existing CDI Crystal installations, built after 2021, are field-upgradable.

“With these latest innovations in flexo quality, inspection and our integrated ecosystem we are empowering businesses to significantly shift gears in workflow automation, harnessing cloud technology and AI to further accelerate speed-to-market with vital integrated color accuracy and consistency as part of the automated process,” said Jan. “We are excited to meet customers old and new at Graphispag and to demonstrate the power of our collaboration in driving a new level of performance for the global packaging and print industry.”
